I am entirely too old to be using #relationshipgoals as a title, but it just seemed the most fitting.  She was 19.  He was 23.  In 1947.  Now, I won’t tell you how old they are, but it IS remarkable that they are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.  One of their sons shared with me that a google search indicated that the percentage of people that make it to their 70th anniversary is less than .1%!  I was blessed to become this couple’s neighbor when I was 15 months old, and my parents still live next door to them today.  I remember as a little girl going over and sitting on her bar stools at her kitchen island and having neighborly talks.  They had 3 sons, and in this picture, are squeezed by their 2 grandchildren (the 2 granddogs aren’t pictured!).  Last Saturday, I ran into Mrs. Chris at Aldi’s, stocking up for her family’s visit, and she didn’t know I’d be seeing her later on in the week.  I am just honored to be able to preserve this special occasion for them.  Their boys and daughter-in-law and grandchildren love them to pieces and made sure to make it for their anniversary picture.  There is one of their 50th and 60th anniversaries hanging in their home.  Now, can you blame me for using #relationshipgoals?
