Hey Guys!  Every once in a while I want to share a Family session of the Cottage, so I’m dubbing today Family Friday.  Sometimes I get a little bogged down with the getting it done part of this business, but I really want to share all the adorableness I get to see!  It’s not fair to keep it all to myself!  This is what I’m working on today, and when this image popped up, it was just too much.  This session was a mission to get some family portraits done before Miss Ansley got her braces.  I love when moms recognize that there is change going on in their kiddos, and they want to freeze time for just a second before being swept into the next phase of life.  Braces are a big deal!

I just love this family.  I’ve known them for years, but this was the first time I’ve had the privilege to work with them, and these two cuties made my heart happy.  They truly love each other.  They are so close in age, that if you didn’t know them, you’d never know which one was older, and they almost function as twins.  Ansley and Bo were actually happy to have their portraits done together.  I didn’t have to “make” them touch each other or act like they liked each other.  (It’s totally normal to have to do that, by the way, so don’t feel bad if you have to bribe your kids for a good photo!)  They were just fun and easy with a touch of silly, which is a great combo!  I wanted to give Mom and Dad a sneak peek of the preciousness I saw (even though I’m sure they already know!).
