They say that rain is good luck on your wedding day. Sydney and Daniel, along with the wonderful management at Three Oaks Barn, spent their wedding day dodging rain clouds, so they should be good to go! Personally, I think with or without rain their future looks “happily ever after.” Sydney and Daniel are the perfect mix of sweet and sassy. They love to laugh, they love the Braves, and they love each other. Easy going and matter-of-fact, Sydney and Daniel have been a joy to work with, and they ended up with a beautiful event at Three Oaks.
Here’s some of their story as Sydney tells it:
Daniel and I met in high school. We quickly became best friends when we had Spanish class together sophomore year. As we started getting closer to the end of our junior year, I started realizing that I wanted to spend all of my time with him. We got out of school for that summer and spent every day together. As I watched him interact with his mom, I fell in love. I knew he was the one I wanted to be with forever.
We spent senior year dating. Our first year of college, I drove back and forth to Auburn just to visit him for a few hours. After the first year, Daniel transferred to Columbus State and we spent as much time together as possible. After college, we fell into our jobs and continued to spend as much time together over the weekends and whenever we had days off.
Last December, we were having brunch with my parents with the hopes of going to Auburn afterwards for some Christmas shopping. We ended up hanging around too late and not able to go to Auburn. We went home to freshen up before going to visit his grandmother in the hospital. I knew something was up, because Daniel wasn’t ready to go. I kept asking him if he was ready, and he kept acting weird. He finally told me to come sit down beside him on the couch. That’s when he proposed!
