Are you hesitant to book family portraits, or does guilt make you hesitate? I hear all kinds of reasons why people haven’t had family portraits done, and I even hear sheepish admissions like, “We haven’t had family pictures done in a decade,” or “The last family picture we had was when she was a newborn.” I don’t have a cookie cutter response in these situations, but sometimes I want to know why or what is the hold up? “Too busy,” “Not happy with how I look,” “Waiting for a certain thing like braces coming off,” all usually top the list. These are legitimate things that stop us from taking time out to do something extra, but I want to make sure that you know you’re never too late to document where your family is. There is no perfect age or season – or rather every age or season is perfect! Your story matters right now, and in 3 years, you’ll think, I’m so glad we did that. Just to prove it, here are some seasons that come to mind:
Summer is a great time to make plans for family portraits. We can do them in the summer when the light is beautiful and golden and the schedules are more relaxed. We can also book them in the summer for the future so that you get your first choice of dates and have time to plan a little more if you need to.
I try to make it as easy as possible for you and walk with you every step of the way. I have a full service approach and do in home wardrobe consultations, have optional makeup services, and help you narrow down your choices and decide what to do with your images. I even make sure it’s installed when the time comes. I want you to have a fun and relaxed experience and end up with artwork you love.
Now is a great time to have a session and book a session. Give me a call to talk about what works best for you!
