Whitney | West Georgia Maternity Photography

Meet my friend Whitney. Knowing her is a privilege because I got to know her at a really special time in both of our lives. We had just joined a small group at a critical time in our family life, and she and her husband, Kevin, were embarking on a pivotal time in theirs. One night in that group, Whitney asked the ladies to pray about her and Kevin starting a family. Things were not going as planned, and they had come to a crossroad of decisions that may mean they would not have birth children of their own. That night will always be cemented in my heart as a time of seeing the love of a church fellowship cry out on behalf of their sister for the Lord’s favor and His will and a husband and wife’s heart to be accepting of that.

It wasn’t too much longer that Baby Lila was on the way and we celebrated that baby as if it were our own. All babies are miraculous gifts, but they stand out when you have prayed specifically and diligently for them. To put us all in our place, and show His gracious kindness, it was pretty soon after that that Lila became a big sister to Tessa! I always love the similarities and differences between siblings. It fascinates me. Well, we get to see all those similarities and differences again because Tessa is being promoted to middle sister! I am equally excited to meet Baby Wren!

Whitney is a beautiful. She has carried these baby girls with such grace (even though I’m sure she doesn’t feel like it). She came in last week to document this pregnancy and she lets me play. I cannot wait to show you my favorites!

Bottom line is if you don’t have ideal weather to be outside for your maternity session or just dread the thought of wind or sweating, don’t be afraid to opt for a studio session. These artistic adventures often turn out to be my favorites!
